In the past many North American recent university graduates benefited from teaching English in Korea. In 2004 about 23,000 North American worked as an ESL teacher according to Statistic Korea. Read on for job description Posting No.: AD200602F6 Location: Gwangju Starting Date: the end of April Type of Employment: Full-time Salary: 1.9 Million(110hrs) ~2.O Million(120hrs) Severance Pay: 1.9M~2.O Million at the successful completion of the contract Paid vacation dates: 7 days including weekends Type of housing offered: a furnished bachelor apartment (studio) Airfare: will be provided by school Insurance: 50/50 split medical. Number of student/ class and age: Kindergarten, Elementary, and middle school Class: 165 classes/month( a 40 minute class) No. of foreign / Korean teachers: 12 Korean teachers and 6 Foreign teachers *** This school has a well established language program, easy for the first time teachers.
