Canadian Connection (www.canconx.com) is an educational consulting agency based out of Toronto which recruits teachers for ESL positions in public schools, private institutes, and companies. We are currently looking for a number of teachers to work in private institutes and the public school system of South Korea with start dates from March right through to August. A)Yeongam County Public Schools (http://www.yeongam.go.kr We are currently looking for 2 teachers to work in the public school system of Yeongam county starting late March. Yeongam is a small town in Jeolla Province in the southwest part of the country near Wolchul mountain national park and about 35 minutes from the coast. These positions offer smaller than typical class sizes, great vacation (5 weeks) and a good salary. The basics are listed below but please visit our website for more information. Job Conditions Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 5:00 Classroom Hours: 20 teaching hours per week. Vacation: 5 weeks vacation + national holidays Salary: 2,100,000 to 2,300,000 Korean won per month depending on qualifications (Most teachers will also have a chance to earn some extra money through teacher training workshops and/or student camps during the year) Settlement Allowance: 300,000 Won Severance Bonus: 1 month salary School Type: Elementary and Junior High Schools Housing: non-shared housing supplied, schools pay rent, teachers cover util. Airfare: roundtrip supplied (Teachers pay for one way airfare to Korea and are reimbursed during the first month. Teachers are then provided with a one way ticket home at the end of the contract) Start dates: late March Contract Length: 1 year with option to renew at a higher salary B) Incheon Metropolitan city Public Schools (http://english.incheon.go.kr/ Incheon is a large city located just west of Seoul and is linked to the capital via subway and expressway routes. It is home to the international airport and also boasts a large ice-free port with passenger connections to China. Job Conditions Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 5:00 Classroom Hours: 22 teaching hours per week. Vacation: 14 working days + national holidays and additional 2 weeks home leave if you sign for a second year Salary: 1,800,000 to 2,300,000 per month (Most teachers will also have a chance to earn some extra money through teacher training workshops and/or student camps during the year) Settlement Allowance: 300,000 Won Severance Bonus: 1 month salary School Type: Elementary, Junior High, and High School positions Housing: non-shared housing supplied, schools pay rent, teachers cover util. Airfare: roundtrip supplied (Teachers pay for one way airfare to Korea and are reimbursed during the first month. Teachers are then provided with a one way ticket home at the end of the contract) Start dates: April 1st, and September 1st Contract Length: 1 year with option to renew C) Sungbok Middle School (www.sungbok.ms.kr) Sungbok Middle School is in a newly developed area of Yongin city, which is just south of Seoul but still on the subway line. This school has very modern facilities and an excellent staff. Job Conditions Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 5:00 Classroom Hours: 22 teaching hours per week. Vacation: 14 working days + national holidays and additional 2 weeks home leave if you sign for a second year Salary: 2,000,000 to 2,300,000 per month Settlement Allowance: 300,000 Won Severance Bonus: 1 month salary School Type: High School Housing: non-shared housing supplied, schools pay rent, teachers cover util. Airfare: roundtrip supplied (Teachers pay for one way airfare to Korea and are reimbursed during the first month. Teachers are then provided with a one way ticket home at the end of the contract) Start dates: mid-March Contract Length: 1 year with option to renew D) South Jeolla Province Public Schools (http://english.jeonnam.go.kr/ Jeolla province has long been recognized as a major agricultural and fishing area in Korea, producing some of the freshest and tastiest cuisine in the country. Its coastline which faces the sea to the west and south, extends over 6,000 km, with a total of 1,969 islands along their waterway. Job Conditions Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 5:00 Classroom Hours: 20 to 22 teaching hours per week.
