Wuxi Guanghua Private School is located close to the lakeside and near the well-known scenic area of Meiyuan, "the Plum Garden". Set on a lush green campus, the school has undergone major developments since 1995 and is now one of the biggest schools in China. It has gained the distinction of being the only private school to be listed in State Ministry of Education's publication, "50 years of Educational Achievement in the New China". It is a boarding school with 15 grades from kindergarten to senior high school level with a student population of 6000 and a faculty of 1100, which includes 40 to 60 foreign teachers.
